It took many years of struggle to make marriage equality the law of the land. Unfortunately, the U.S. Supreme Court can no longer be relied on to uphold its own rulings. There have been rumblings that this hard-won right may soon go the way of a woman’s right to choose. If that happens, I will continue to defend marriage equality in Texas against any and all attempts to repeal or undermine it.
First and foremost, I am determined to do everything within my power to restore a woman's right to choose.
